This Policy describes how we treat personal information we collect where and when this Policy is referenced. This includes our websites (www.taubman.com and each of our property websites), emails, mall kiosks, and mobile versions of our websites. It also applies to applications like those designed for the mobile environment, or for social media websites. It also applies to information collected from you when you use our WiFi service. Collectively, we refer to all of these as “our sites.”
We collect information from and about you.
Contact information. For example, we might collect your name and street address. We might also collect your phone number or email.
Demographic information. For example, we might collect your age. We might collect information about your interests.
Internet or other electronic network activity information. We may collect information about your browser. We might look at what site you came from, or what site you visit when you leave us. We also might collect other information about how you and other users use our sites for purposes of improving the sites and providing you with information that may be of interest. We collect this information using the tracking tools described HERE. We also use vendors to help us. To control these tools, please read HERE. We may also collect your location/GPS information.
We collect information in different ways.
We collect contact and demographic information directly from you. For example, if you register on our website we collect your information. Or, if you sign up for email alerts we will collect your email address. If you register for an experience at our kiosk or on our mobile application, we will collect contact and demographic information necessary for that requested experience.
We combine information we may get from other sources. For example, we may combine information collected online with information that you gave us at one our shopping centers.
We collect electronic network activity information from you passively. We use tracking tools like browser cookies and web beacons. To control these tools, click HERE.
We use information as disclosed and described here.
We use information to respond to your requests or questions. For example, we might use your contact information to send you information you request.
We use electronic network activity information to improve our products and services; to customize your experience with us; to show you content in which we think you might be interested; and to ask you to participate in surveys. We may do this using the tracking technologies described HERE.
We also use electronic network activity information to look at site trends and customer interests. We may use your information to make our sites better. We may combine information we get from you with information about you we get from third parties.
We use information for security purposes. We may use information to protect our company, our customers, or our sites.

We may share information with third parties.
We will share information with third parties who perform services on our behalf. For example, we share your contact and demographic information with vendors who provide goods and services for us.
If you use our online “Careers” feature, we will share your contact and demographic information within the Taubman family of companies and with third party service providers who administer the Careers area of our sites. If you use our online “Careers” feature, If you submit contact and demographic information in response to a job opportunity, a potential employer or recruiter may contact you.
We will share your contact and demographic information, along with electronic network activity information, with our business partners. For example, we might share this information with stores located in properties near you. We might share this information with partners who provide you with special opportunities at our centers. We will share any or all categories of information if we think we have to in order to comply with the law or to protect ourselves. For example, we will share information to respond to a court order or subpoena. We may also share it if a government agency or investigatory body requests. We might also share information when we are investigating potential fraud.
We may share any and all categories of information with any successor to all or part of our business. For example, if part of our business was sold we may give our customer list as part of that transaction.
We may share information for other reasons we may describe to you.
You have certain choices about our marketing and tracking tools.
You can opt out of receiving our marketing emails and investor alerts. To stop receiving our promotional emails or newsletter, simply contact us at OPTOUT@taubman.com. You can opt out of investor alerts by following the instructions included at the bottom of each such email. You can also change your preferences on our website if you have an account.
You can control if we share information with third parties for their marketing purposes. To opt out of having us share your information with third parties for their promotional purposes, email us at NOTHIRDPARTY@TAUBMAN.COM.

You can control certain tracking on your mobile devices. For example, you can turn off the GPS locator on your phone.
This site and children.
Our sites are meant for adults. They are not intended for nor directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If you are a parent or legal guardian and think your child under 13 has given us information, you can email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. You can also write to us at the address listed at the end of this policy. We use standard security measures.
The Internet is not 100% secure. We cannot promise that your use of our sites will be completely safe. We encourage you to use caution when using the Internet.
We keep personal information as long as it is necessary or relevant for the practices described in this Policy. We also keep information as otherwise required by law.
You are responsible for protecting the confidentiality of your username and password that you use to log-in to our sites. Please do not share your log-in information with anyone. If you believe that your log-in information has been compromised, please let us know immediately.
California Shine the Light.
If you live in California and have an established business relationship with us, you can request a list of the personal information we have shared with third parties for their marketing purposes. We will also give you a list of the third parties that have received your information. You can make a request one time each year.

California Consumer Privacy Rights
If you are a California resident, you have the following rights.
- Right of Access. You have the right to access your personal information maintained by us. You can request categories of your personal information or specific pieces of your personal information. Upon receipt of a verifiable request to access personal information, we will disclose and deliver, free of charge, the personal information requested.
Please note that we are not required to provide you access to your personal information more than twice in a 12-month period.
- Right of Deletion. You have the right to request that we delete any personal information about you which we have collected from you. Upon receipt of a verifiable request for deletion, and subject to the exceptions below, we will delete your personal information from our records and direct any service providers to delete your personal information from our records, within 45 days.
We will comply with your request to delete personal information unless it is necessary for us to maintain your personal information in order to:
- Complete a transaction, provide requested-for goods/services, and/or perform a contract between you and us;
- Detect security incidents;
- Comply with a legal obligation;
- Enable our internal uses that are aligned with your expectations and your relationship with us; or
- Otherwise use your personal information internally in a lawful manner that is compatible with the context in which you provided your information.
Submission of Requests for Information. We have designated the following methods for California residents to submit requests for information:

After you submit a request, we will promptly take steps to determine whether your request is a verifiable request. We will verify that you are who you say you are by sending an email to the email address that you provide upon calling the toll-free number or through the website. We may also request your first and last name to verify that information matches the email records that we have.
We will disclose and deliver the required information to you free of charge within 45 days of receiving your verifiable request. If necessary, we will extend the time period to provide the required information once by an additional 45 days and will provide you with notice of the extension within the first 45-day period. The disclosure shall cover the 12-month period preceding our receipt of the verifiable request.
You may designate an authorized agent to make a request to access your personal information or have us delete your personal information on your behalf.
As noted above, we do not knowingly collect information from or about children, including children aged 16 and under. We do not sell information of minors under 16 years of age.
No Sale of Personal Information. We have not sold personal information to third parties for a business or commercial purpose in the last 12 months. We do not intend to sell personal information to third parties.
No Discrimination. We will not discriminate against a California resident because the California resident exercised any of the rights described here.
We store information in the United States.
If you live outside of the United States, you understand and agree that we may transfer your information to the United States. Our sites are subject to U.S. laws, which may not afford the same level of protection as those in your country.
We may link to other sites or have third party services on our site we don’t control.
Our sites may also serve third party ads or content that contain their own cookies or tracking technologies. We do not control the use of those technologies.
Log-In Through Social Networks
You might have the option of logging in through Facebook, Google, or other social networks. Logging in through these social networks may allow us to access certain public information related to your profile. When you sign in through one of these social networks, you will be asked by the social network what information you would like to share. It is up to you what to share with us, or whether anything at all from your social network profile is shared at all.
