Over 45,000 Square Feet of New Retail Space coming to Sunvalley Including Jessica McClintock, XXI and A’GACI

CONCORD, Calif., April 7, 2010 – Trend-savvy fashionistas will have even more reasons to shop Sunvalley Shopping Center in the coming year, when the area’s largest shopping center welcomes Jessica McClintock, A’GACI and a major expansion of the existing Forever 21, For Love 21 and Heritage 1981 stores into one spacious store, XXI.

Coming to Sunvalley in September of this year is Jessica McClintock, a name synonymous with fashionably romantic women’s apparel for proms, weddings and other special occasions. Since designer Jessica McClintock founded the company in 1969, the brand has garnered an international presence and following by continually redefining classic elegance. Featuring signature touches of lace and sumptuous fabrics, the special-occasion dresses and elegant separates appeal to women of all generations. The Jessica McClintock boutique at Sunvalley is the sole location in the East Bay area.

Construction will begin later this year as XXI prepares to combine and expand upon the offerings of the retailer’s existing stores, Forever 21, For Love 21 and Heritage 1981, in a new, 21,000-square-foot, two-level store to be located between Macy’s and Sears. Heritage 1981, Forever 21 and For Love 21 will close when XXI opens its doors in December of this year. XXI will showcase a vast array of fashion-forward women’s and men’s clothing and accessories at value prices.

Another first in East Bay and Contra Costa County is hip and stylish A’GACI, bringing its one-stop-shopping emporium to Sunvalley next year. Designed for the modern, trendy glamour girl who wants the hottest looks at affordable prices, the large, 21,000-square-foot store will carry the latest in dresses, tops, pants, skirts, denim and accessories, as well as a spacious O’Shoes boutique within the store, featuring the designer looks young women want at prices that fit their budget.

Other new store openings enhance shopping at Sunvalley

CONCORD, Calif., Oct. 26, 2009 — Buffalo chicken wing pizza, shrimp tacos, pulled pork sliders and seasonal pumpkin ale are beckoning shoppers to the new BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse, the latest offering from the California-based restaurant chain that opened its doors Oct. 19 at Sunvalley Shopping Center.

Located on the mall’s upper level near JCPenney, BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse brings its reputation for flavorful food in a casual, fun setting, with attentive service and moderate prices. Its extensive menu features BJ’s signature deep-dish pizza and award-winning handcrafted beers, along with generously portioned salads, appetizers, sandwiches, soups, entrées, lunch specials, kids’ menu and its famous Pizookie® dessert–a freshly baked, deep-dish cookie in a variety of flavors, topped with ice cream.

BJ’s is approximately 9000 square feet with seating for approximately 290 guests. The warm, contemporary decor and multiple flat-screen TVs create a high-energy and family-friendly dining environment for all ages to enjoy. Restaurant hours are Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. until 12 midnight, Friday, 11 a.m. until 1 a.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 1 am and Sunday, 11 am until midnight.

Also opening recently at Sunvalley is AT&T/MS Wireless, a communication superstore featuring cell phones, cell phone service and accessories, on the upper level near Sears. Cathy Jean, a leading women’s shoe company with 42 stores in six states and growing, has opened on the lower level near Grand Court. The store offers a grand-opening special featuring all women’s shoes at 25 percent off, and women’s boots at 50 percent off, for a limited time. And opening this weekend is the Reflexology Center, specializing in foot and chair massage, on the upper level near Macy’s Men.
