SUNVALLEY SHOPPING CENTER WELCOMES TEEN APPAREL SHOP C28

Released: 04/21/08

CONCORD, Calif., April 21, 2008 — C28, a California-based retailer of Christian-themed clothing, music, jewelry and accessories, opens Friday, April 25 at Sunvalley Shopping Center.

From purity rings to toe rings, C28 and its merchandise reflect a clean, positive Christian lifestyle for today’s youth and young families. For those who like to wear their faith on their chest, the shop carries an extensive selection of religious-themed T-shirts, often with scripture or a hip graphic print that upon closer examination has a Christian theme to it. Its sizes range from newborns to plus size.

To reach people today, you need to be relevant, says C28 franchise owner Bill White, who notes the store has a Goth-like appearance to it. We are missionaries, he adds. People get saved in our stores.

To introduce themselves to the community, C28 is offering 20 percent off any purchase for the first month it is open.

C28 stands for the biblical verse Colossians 2:8, which urges believers to focus on getting to heaven, rather than focusing on life in this world. The shop donates a percentage of all purchases to youth ministries.

C28 was founded in 2001 by Aurelio F. Barreto III after he sold Dogloo, Inc., a company he co-founded and was CEO of for 10 years.

It’s located on the lower level between Sports Authority and Macy’s Women’s.

Sunvalley, located at I-680 and Willow Pass Road in Concord, features two Macy's (Women’s/Children’s and Men’s/Home), JCPenney, Sears and over 160 shops and services. Shopping hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday. For more information please call (925) 825-2042 or visit shopsunvalley.com.
