SUNVALLEY STRIDERS
A Free Informal Mall Walking Program sponsored by Sunvalley Shopping Center.
What Is It?
Sunvalley Striders is a free informal mall walking program offered at Sunvalley Shopping Center for customers of all ages.
Enjoy the safe, climate-controlled comfort of the center while you walk your way to fitness. Regular brisk walking improves your fitness and your cardiovascular system.
How Does It Work?
- The program is offered Monday through Saturday from 7am to 9pm and Sunday from 9am to 7pm.
- To be a registered participant, register for Sunvalley Striders at Customer Service Desk or print registration form and mail to Sunvalley Management Office, One Sunvalley Mall, Concord, CA 94520, Attn: Sunvalley Striders.
You will receive a package including a Mileage Record, and a 10% discount card at participating Sunvalley stores.
- Keep track of your miles on your mileage record sheet available at Customer Service Desk. Upon completion each month, return your record form to Customer Service Desk where we will keep track of your mileage.
- Walk both levels including side corridors, and you've walked 1.33 miles or walk the length of the Center five times, not including corridors (JCPenney to Sears or Sears to JCPenney) and you've walked one mile.
- In the first quarter of each year, medals are awarded to walkers for completing 250+, 500+, 700+ and 1,000+ miles.
