A Free Informal Mall Walking Program

Sunvalley Striders Quarterly Meeting, June 16, 2010 at 8:30 a.m.
Join us at McDonald's at 8:30 a.m. to enjoy coffee and hear from our own Security Officer Hugh Wang. His topic will be Deprivation. RSVP with Sunvalley's Guest Services, located on the lower level adjacent to Grand Court.

What Is It?
Sunvalley Striders is a free informal mall walking program offered at Sunvalley Shopping Center for customers of all ages.

Enjoy the safe, climate-controlled comfort of the center while you walk your way to fitness. Regular brisk walking improves your fitness and your cardiovascular system.

How Does It Work?

The program is offered Monday through Saturday from 7am to 9pm and Sunday from 9am to 6pm.
To be a registered participant, register for Sunvalley Striders at Guest Services or online.

You will receive a package including an official Sunvalley Strider t-shirt and a 10% discount at participating Sunvalley stores. If you register online, you will receive your package in the mail within a couple of weeks.
Keep track of your miles on your mileage record sheet available at Guest Services. Upon completion each month, return your record form to Guest Services where we will keep track of your mileage. If you prefer, you may also keep track online.
Walk both levels including side corridors, and you've walked 1.33 miles or walk the length of the Center five times, not including corridors (JCPenney to Sears or Sears to JCPenny) and you've walked one mile.
In the first quarter of each year, medals are awarded to walkers for completing 250+, 500+, 700+ and 1,000+ miles.
Stay tuned for invites to quarterly meet and greets where we will be featuring guest speakers on fitness, nutrition and all around health related issues.
